At last, I've got round to it. If you visit
http://www.onlineClarity.co.uk/I_Ching_chat/, you will (remarkably enough) find a chat room (or two). It doesn't look quite consistent yet, but it does seem to work, and it's nice and easy to use.

So, now it's there, what shall we do with it? Schedule some chats, I think, as otherwise we'll miss each other there. Any suggestions for topics that would work especially well with chat? The floor is open...

Hi Hilary,

My suggestion would be a chat on Hexs w/no moving lines.

Namaste,
Leonard

Hilary,

I'd be up for a chat. Great idea.

Evenings would best for me, how does 20:00 GMT sound?

Best wishes,

Mick

Two people interested! Well, at least we won't over-burden the server http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/wink.gif

Actually, I'd just set the script up when the floodgates opened, order-wise. I'm scrambling to keep up at present, and chat online or off doesn't seem to be an option. It's lovely, of course, but frustrating that there aren't more hours in a day. Maybe things will slow down in a week or so.

But the chat room is there and running, so there is nothing to stop anyone who wants to from scheduling a chat of their own and making use of it, whether I get there or not.

Hi Hilary,
actually I visited the chat a couple of times. It looks like a very easy to use chat.

I'm not sure I could add much to any topic but I would like to attend to a chat.

So, if someone schedules a chat, they could eventually see me dropping in. http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

Bye!

I'm game! I'll visit from time to time to see if anyone's there. I think a topic and time/date would be a good idea. One possibility would be to start at #1 and then move on through 64. It at least might provide a jump-start to the chat forum.

Well I'm all for it. This area has some very old post though...

I'm available 5 times a week, 9:00 a.m.-5:30p.m.
Eastern standard time.

I'll keep checking, hope to hear from all you Chingers out there(smile).

Hilary, I went to the chat room, and the remnants of the conversation from the previous participants was still visible there. In other chat rooms I've been in, you can view the chat that's been typed only from the point at which you enter the room. One thing this does is provide a bit of confidentiality lol. People also need to know if the chat's recorded anywhere. There's a chat room attached to another website I frequent, and all that chat's recorded, or at least that's what the site manager tells us. So things never get too out of hand lol.
