I saw another thread but want to discuss a certain matter:

When I read hexagram "Darkening of the Light", I always compare with the "Tower" majorarcana card of Tarot. To me they both express exactly the same situation.

Tarot is not meaningless to me.

I don't feel that hexagram 36 goes with the tower, because hex 36 is about being imprisoned by forces beyond your control, a tyrant that you must placate in order to survive until you can get free. I would be more inclined to equate it with the devil card or the reversed star card where there is just no opportunity at hand. The tower card I would more equate with hex 51 shock, because it is so upsetting that it rearranges your entire situation, often as the result of some mistake. But I would also like to state emphatically that I don't believe that one to one correlations exists between metaphysical disciplines because they tend to divide up the nature of existence and the natural laws of the universe in different ways.

And no, tarot is not meaningless to me either. It is just a different window to look through.

Yes Pagan a different window is approperate. I do not know if one dicipline can correlate with any other but my feeling is there is a parallel if I am able to locate it in relationships one to another, it may be a streach of imagination, or seen as manipuulation of self will. I have found there are relationships in the readings I do for my self when I use different methods for asking the same question.
