Hi All

I need help (once again)with a reading.

After 25 years,I decided to make a career change.
I enjoy what I'm doing and I'm very good at it..But,since I'm starting at the entry level, the pay is very bad and I'm having a problem making ends meet. So,I've been thinking about returning to my previous career, that I hate, because it pays better. So I asked the Yi for guidance and I received, Hexagram 1,lines 2&5
I don't understand what the Yi is advising me to do :\
Do I tough it out with the job I love?
Or,do I return to a job I hate for financial stability?

Help!

I think Yi is trying to tell you to fall in love with what you do, that is why you get only lines 2 & 5 at the same time. Line 2 may be about ways to find back the lost zeal?

line 5?
If the love is there, what to expect next ...

Hi Lynx,

I don?t think the Yi is telling you to do one job or the other. I think it's saying to get in contact with the Yang decision maker in yourself, and then make your decision from that perspective and vantage point. Your relating hexagram is 30, fire, which holds tightly to the fuel that creates light in you. If making more money lights your fire, or if doing something you enjoy lights you up, that only you can decide. Because of the strong creative power at work, perhaps there?s a way to keep the job you love and also earn the extra money you need doing something else on the side? Put your creative cap on and see what pops up.

Personally, I think it's much harder to find a job you love than it is to make more money.

@YLY2...I hated the other job because I had been doing it for so long the fire just burned out..Completely! :\

@Candid..What you say makes a lot of sense, I like it...

"If making more money lights your fire, or if doing something you enjoy lights you up, that only you can decide. Because of the strong creative power at work, perhaps there?s a way to keep the job you love and also earn the extra money you need doing something else on the side?

Thanks..to both of you http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

Lynx,
There might also be a real opportunity to find a completely NEW job which pays well and also suits your passion. This 1.5 is a very positive outlook for creating what you want. It neednt be either-or...
the steps of change..13..get out into the community and poke around....and then 14..you might find the great prize, the ideal job. 30
