Hello Fellow Seekers,

Great news. My short story 'City of Victory' will be on BBC Radio 4 in uly beginning in a series called 'Opening Lines'. They think it's beautiful and evocative, and atmospheric and I'm busy turning it into a novel. The setting is the Vijayanagar Empire (once 'greater than Rome'--Nuniz and Paes)- so it'll be historical fiction.
I asked the online I Ching at Clarity for how it will turn out as a novel and got hex 54 line 4 changing to 19. Does it mean it'll take its time, but will be a success - 19? Please chime in. It's important.

Thanks
Anita

Wonderful Anita http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

I am an inveterate radio 4 listener and will look forward to it.

Congratulations.

Working at the moment so will try to come back later about your reading if no-one else does.

BTW - Radio 4's audience analysis is very good - If they put something on it is generally well received... there is very stiff competition by people to get their material selected... I am impressed.

Anita,

Congratulations http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

I also love Radio 4 and I really look forward to hearing your story on the BBC.

For me, Hx 19 links to the Justice card in Tarot. I think that you will receive a true reward for your hard work.

Perhaps you will be recognised in the way that you feel you deserve.

Best wishes,

Mick

Anita, let me join the others in congratulating you! I think your interpretation sounds right on the money. Approaching this new venture with no compromise of integrity brings eventual success.

Hi Anita

Congratulations on your upcoming novel.

With 54.4 there could be delays, but hopefully it won't be anything significant, and maybe a good thing because it is more likely to come out exactly when the time is right.

You are sooooo talented.
Best of luck with your novel.

"I asked the online I Ching at Clarity for how it will turn out as a novel and got hex 54 line 4 changing to 19."

How will it turn out? Well, it'll turn out a longer project than you think. This line talks about delay, but about getting there in the end at what is in fact exactly the right time. Don't expect the novel to come into being anything like quickly, in other words. Which is probably significant, considering how much importance you attach to the project. You're going to have to be satisfied with working and waiting, and not be attached to results.

You sure you wouldn't rather do some more short stories in the meantime? http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

I wonder if your story will crop up on World Service? We get some Radio 4 stuff here.
