I often use the Yi to clarify my thoughts and feelings, or to probe them more deeply. Right now I am mired in an ongoing tragicomedy--actually more of a comedy really--the outcome of which is almost entirely at others' disposal. I had one tactic, good only for a one-time use, that I used yesterday, thereby emptying my puny arsenal. Having fired my last and only round--shot my wad, as it were--I suddenly felt free and light, relieved, whereas before I'd felt heavy and morose, and very anxious. Wondering how my mood could have changed so quickly and definitively, I asked the Yi to explain, and got 42 changing at 6. I take this to mean that using this tactic, or at least ridding myself of the burden of holding onto it, was a good thing to do. But I'm at a loss to understand the changing line. Was it a warning? A comment on my motivations? Any ideas here?

Thanks so much for all your contributions. This situation now is completely out of my hands, but I'm anxious as ever, and it's very comforting to read all the posts and interpretations.

Hi Calumet,

42.6 seems to come as a shock during such a time as Increase. Not surprised you were taken aback by it.

During a time of increase there's a natural tendency to either hoard or spend. What is missing is the natural inclination to give and provide. This line reminds you/us that increase only endures when we make certain to distribute our increase to being increase to others.

This giving action serves to dissolve your inner conflict (6).

Its a timely reminder, yes?
