Hi all, I just finished reading a book that was quite a surprise to me in that it was much better written than I had expected. It is a book of not much consequence but it did have some nice quotable nuggets in it that I would like to share with you. The book is called "The Rule of Four".

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

Like all things in the universe, we are destined form birth to diverge. Time is simply the yardstick of our separation. If we are particles in a sea of distance, exploded from an original whole, then there is a science to our solitude. We are lonely in proportion to our years.<!-/Quote-!>

And another passage:

<!-Quote-!>Quote:

Imagine that the present is simply a reflection of the future. Imagine that we spend our whole lives staring into a mirror with the future at our backs, seeing it only in the reflection of what is there and now. Some of us would begin to believe that we could see tomorrow better by turning around to look at it directly. But those who did, without even realizing it, would've lost the key to the perspective they once had. For the one thing they would never be able to see in it was themselves. By turning their backs on the mirror, they would become the one element of the future their eyes could never find.<!-/Quote-!>

Hi Demitra,

Here is a link to Amazon: The Rule of Four (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0385337116/qid%3D1095273490/102-8268318-6910525)

It was written by two young friends fresh out of college, Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason. The novel runs along the lines of the Da Vinci Code.
