I have been trying to get a copy of this and it is currently unnavailable in the UK.
Howevwer... folk might like to know there are 4 or five second hand copies available from Amazon's US store in the second hand part... all going for about 10$ - 15$... allow 10$ postage.

Whheeee! I got a copy of Karcher's I Ching just the other day here in Bangalore, India. It was amazing. It was the second bookstore I went to and it was also very cheap. Lucky. I must say Karcher gives it all a new dimension. And if it werent't for this great site, I wouldn't have found it!
Luck with your quest

I've only had Karcher's translation for a short time but have had occasion to wonder about Hex 44. Karcher's commentary on the Hex says to welcome what comes to you (or something like that). That seems to be the complete opposite of other commentary that advises to avoid the "woman". That worries me a bit.

Worrying, maybe, or maybe just interesting! This kind of difference makes me go running back to the Yi itself to see what it actually says - something we can easily lose sight of amidst all the various commentaries.
In this case it says there's no use in laying hold of the woman, or 'grasping' her. Or in 'marrying' her, in more traditional translations, though subsequently people have suggested the idea is actually that she is too important to be just taken behind the nearest bush.
So we have a strong woman, and it's no use to try to take control of her and fit her into normal life. In fact, whatever influence she represents is very likely to undermine and disrupt the security we thought we had. So should we be fighting off and resisting this influence (Wilhelm), or welcoming the change it brings (Karcher)? Yi leaves that to us...
