Hello,
First I would like to thank all of you for your help. I do not know if it is appropriate to spill some of the details of this "on going relationship", the root of the question, but I will tell you how your interpretations have reassured me ( some ) and given me courage.
First - This relationship is between 2 friends, male and female ( me ) who at one time were lovers. The man has been down for a while but I see potential for success in his life. I am a life long friend usually, but in these circumstances I have been questioning my loyalty.
I many times feel as though I am carrying him, and the desription of a corpse is not far off, to try to get him to a place where he himself can stand alone and be strong.
I have no obligations or commitments to him other than I always feel like people meet for a reason and everyone has either lesson or a gift to offer.
Back to Hilary's intrepretation, yes it is often not very enjoyable, no I have no idea where we will end up and even if it will end in success. We have discussed many times whether to continue or not.
What Candid said about "assigning your decision to the mature and capable within yourself" is funny for we always comment that "we need an adult in charge" when we are together...
And Helise is correct, I am careful to be "making use of the opportunities which are present, but not to commit oneself too much"
All and all pretty amazing. I am grateful for your help. I am going to buy a book that will help me with intrepretations so possibly I can contribute myself.
Thanks for your time everyone.
