Hi:

I asked - What is the next step for me in my life?
and I got 25 unchanging.

What does this mean?

I have difficulty with unchanging hexagrams.

Thanks,
Rosalie

Nothing could be more natural than 25. It's a potentially fun time too, because the darnest things pop up unexpectedly. Be watchful of your intentions. They can taint the outcome.

If you were thinking 'What step to take, what do I need to do to make progress?' then Yi may be discouraging that approach. 25 is the opposite of 46, which is 'Pushing Upward', making step-by-step progress through hard work and self-confidence. The ancient kings, in the Image of Without Entanglement, have a different way of going about things.

Also it may be the next step is to sort out what is and isn't yours to change.

Hi Peace,

Hexagram 25 can mean that the Yi is telling you that the next step is to just be the person that you already are, and not going for another ?role?. Try not to have much expectations, so that the ?unexpected? can come in... Just another way of aproaching live... But 25 static is also some bouring killer for me, as you already know this... be yourself, no expectations, bla bla bla... In practical therms the next step could be just not only ?to know that already?, but finaly ?handling to it?!.

Hi Rosalie...

It feels like Hilary got right to the nucleus of your question, and that the answer she perceives pretty much hit the bulls eye.

I recently asked exactly the same question of the Yi... or started to anyway. I was thinking about what steps *I* should take... what thing *I* should change or do and started to throw the coins. I stopped suddenly, thought "What the hell? I'm not taking any steps that don't come naturally and I'm not changing anything artificially!. I threw the coins with that declaration, and the answer was 1.5. My situation is very much as Hilary described to you. I don't have to '46' at this point in time, and I am free to be myself and let nature take its course.

I think it's rather nice that you're at the '25 unchanging' point as well in whatever endeavor you were enquiring about.

Love,

Val

Thanks. The exact question was: What can I expect next in my life?

I also interpreted it as: Nothing that I would expect!

"What the hell? I'm not taking any steps that don't come naturally and I'm not changing anything artificially!"

Love that, Val.
