Would having Hexagram 51 with Hexagram 21 underneath tattooed on me have any negatives effects?
51 is my 'natal' hexagram and 21 seems to be its pair in a binary sequence, also happens to be the 'natal' hexagram of my fiance.
Thank You all.

True...
Well the only reason I ask, and I hope this doesn't sound silly, is that I have already gotten the tattoo. It seems since then I have had a string of bad luck and set backs, I thought perhaps I upset some sort of balance.

You could always ask Yi...
Part of the equation may be how you view your natal hexagram.

I wouldn't worry about it. The body heals around obstructions. If there's a connection to your recent bad luck, it's probably psychosomatic.
Steve Tylor of Aerosmith has a huge tattoo of Gua 1 on his arm. I'm personally not into tattoos, but I always liked his.

Bruce...
Help! Steven Tyler's tattoos. I don't recognize either one of these as Gua 1, but then again... I haven't seen enough different versions of gua 01. Which one is it? And where can I find a picture like it connected with gua 01.

Thanks!

PS I'm guessing it's the one on his right arm and that's the one I really like.

Heya Val,
My mistake. I could swear I saw Steve with 6 very bold lines, ala Chien, on his right arm, on an Aerosmith's PBS documentary. Must be these aging eyes, or something. http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/crazy.gif
Thanks for the correction. The 'right' right one is pretty cool.

Hey Bruce...
You may very well have seen it. I've been researching since I posted. I just saw yet another version of the eye on his otherwise-clean-right arm in an article about him and body art. Apparently he does different temporary tattoos on his right arm. So he probably did have one of hexagram 01 there at one time.
Love,
Val

Whew, so maybe I wasn't hallucinating after all. The reason I felt so sure was that it was such a a recognizable symbol, and it took up most of his upper outside arm.

Hmmm. Hmmm. Aerosmith with *temporary* tats! Who woulda thought it!?!
Is your "cool" something you can just rub off? Is your hip just hype? Are you...Aw, who cares anyway when your daughter is so incredibly, lusciously, hot!!!

I think I'd just have Hexagram One tattooed on and then carry around a tube of zinc oxide or a bottle of whiteout so I could turn any sevens I wanted into eights at any time. That's what a Change-ling would do.

The problem with most tattoos is that sooner or later they look like this:

They become a big black Rorschach test.
Harmen.
