I also stumbled onto the entry about ordering Rick Kunst's dissertation from UMI. And just how long do you guess I pondered on the decision to make that purchase myself? Did you guess a nanosecond? You're right! If that long.

Glad you pointed this blog out to me Val, somehow I had failed to ever see it before !! Looks good and how did you know I'd just cast hex 12 anyway, 5 minutes before I switched computer on and saw your post !!

I also think the hex index is a fantastic idea, saves me asking things that have already been asked. Sometimes have looked up lines there and found I posted something about it - which is quite funny as obviously must have forgotten my own advice.

I love the hex index too, AND the search engine. That's why you rarely see questions from me any more. I usually find my answers there... plus I'm also understanding the Yi better all the time.

While on this evening?s walk, the sun was setting behind the mountain. I said, look, Mojo, the sun is going down. Then I remembered 12 and this thread and blog, and said, the sun isn?t really going down, the earth is turning away from it. But the other half of this sphere is turning toward the sun. It seemed an example of 11 and 12: moving toward and moving away.

Wow! So when we are advised to make allies of people who are "not of the folk" (TCB rendering) we really are probably being suggested to do something really controversial, really against the grain (Hexagram 8).
