Very interesting information:

Halloo, Hilary, anybody!

Please! Does anyone know when Stephen Karcher?s ?Total I Ching? will finally be published in the US? Half a continent is throbbing with anticipation! Millions of disappointed booklovers mill endlessly through the bookshops, despondent in their continuing darkness! The Light! The Light! When will it ever come, here where it is needed so desperately?

Dear Lindsay,

If you're shockingly desperate for Karcher's "Total", and if you're not shockingly broke, it might be worth ordering the esteemed work from amazon uk.

I live in Greece, where there isn't a snowball's chance in hell of this book or its ilk ever turning up in a bookstore; and I was thrilled to see that the order would only take 24 hours. So I put myself out of my misery, and it's now wending its way across Europe to me!

If you don't have an account there, an acquaintance who does (or me) could pass on your e-mail, which means they send you a gift voucher to help with a minimum 15-pound order. As I was whining about costs, a friend did me this favour; the result was that I only paid 92p postage & delivery for an orgy of Total, Classic, and Huang.

I'm not advertising the retailer in question: it's simply the only quick way to extricate yourself from this cultural desert.

Best,

Claire

Hi Claire and Lindsay:

I was about to say the same as Claire. I ordered mine from Amazon.uk the moment it came out. The price difference, if you really want the book, is minimal.

Regards,

Luis

Dear Luis and Lindsay,

In the interim, "Total" arrived at lightening speed, and I haven't looked back.

Also to add my thanks, Luis, for posting all these interesting links you find.

Best,

Claire

Dear Claire and Luis,

Thanks for the advice. I suppose I will have to leave my countrymen in darkness, and turn to the UK or Canada for new light. Not for the first time, I might add.
