Dear Candida,
The king appointed feudal princes to rule over local areas. To represent the king?s interests, to maintain law and order, to raise taxes, and to supply soldiers for the army.
One way of looking at this reading is that you are the king, and you need to find and appoint helpers. You can?t do everything yourself, and you need to delegate part of your work to others. Of course, this also means giving up some of your personal control, since you are asking others to help you in their own way.
A side issue is that feudal princes were quite often rebellious. So you might want to keep your eyes open, and make sure your helpers are doing their job.

Hi all
I think it depends on ones departure point [of who,the fuedal prince is !!]One could just as easily see the prince as ones ego, having eventually recognised the the divine authority of the Great Man ie the Jungian Self.
As I have said in a previous post, having seen that some people think that the I Ching is a tool when it is entirely possible that the tool in fact is the human who is consulting The Changes.,,,,but then, maybe we all sleep a wee bit better believing we are in control.

Django...
"Let go and let God" is something I hear the Christians around here say...and I love it!
It could as easily be said, "let go and let 'self'," "let go and let Yi"...or how about..."just freakin' let go!"
Thank you.
*grin*
Cheerio the noo,
Val
