This small article may not be entirely correct in dating and such, but I think some here may find it informative on a practical level. There?s nothing in it that hasn?t been discussed here before, sometimes at length, but Shoba Narayan has summarized nicely some of the important elements of constructing questions, and such.

Good, interesting article. Puzzled which line is meant by 'wherever the sister goes the brother will follow' though. Can't think what line that is ?

Hi Void

Is derivated not from any line, but from the trigram's relationship. Lake and Thunder, I guess.

Yes, nice article on practical use of the I Ching, and her account of omens/synchronicity is pretty good, too.

hmm.... a very 'traditional' perspective and so, IMHO, missing a LOT ;-)

Hmm .. what is so traditional about it, the use of (Chinese!) coins?

Just because you believe it's all random doesn't mean it is. http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/lol.gif

LOL! be careful Martin, your ignorance may come back and bite you on the butt one day! ;-)

You know well what I mean - but if you are now going to change your mind and admit ignorance then all you are doing is playing games to hide the fear...

Thanks for the article, Bruce, I found this discussion on how to fine tune a question very helpful.
Incidentally, the site posts an image of the tai-chi, or yin-yang symbol that has the white, yang energy rising and the dark, yin energy descending. I've heard that this is the correct way to display the symbol.

Glad you guys found it useful. http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif

Rosada,

About taking a leave from this place once in awhile? I've found it can be a bit like 30.4. Easy to get swept into the flames, sometimes. Then everything I write that I read back to myself seems totally lame. (to say nothing of what others write. hahaha! http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/wink.gif )

30.4 ..That's it exactly! Wow, the I Ching does have an understanding for everything.

Thanks again, Bruce.
