Hello Again,

Got such an amazing reading I wanted to share it. I asked the Yi about a job offer that I had received. I've been struggling in my current job and have been looking for the right opportunity to make a graceful exit. I've had a few offers, but none of them have felt "right".

I was having a particularly bad day when the recruiter called me and told me they'd found my name through very uncoventional means. It almost felt like an invasion of privacy at first. Once they began chatting, it seemed like it was the rescue I was looking for.

I went on 2 interviews, got an offer, that although was an improvement, wasn't a massive improvement. I had a bad feeling that I'd be looking at the same kinds of restrictions and unhappiness in my current job (long hours, lots of stress, doing work I don't enjoy and that is not creative) in this new job.

I asked the question, and what I got was hex 3, with line 2 moving to 60. The Wilhem translation and the Karcher translation are pretty much opposite. One says, basically (Wilhelm) "this looks like a good opp, but don't take it, wait" and Karcher says "don't be so suspicious - take it or you'll lose the chance".

My gut feeling is Wilhelm. I just couldn't get excited about the new job. It didn't quite feel right, and looked to be a lateral move at best, and a frying pan/fire move at worst.

Am I making a mistake here?

Thanks!
M

Or rather, should I say, "your thoughts?"

It seems to me that you have already decided not to take this job, but you are looking for confirmation.

Hex 3.2 At the moment you are having various problems at work, then out of the blue a new job offer shows up but you decide not to take it. Waiting is the best thing to do.

Hex 60 This new job would have all kinds of limitations attached to it, these limitations would be set by the potential new employer, thus they would probably seem too excessive for you.

Now you have your confirmation, don't take this job, wait. Hex 3.2 says to wait 10 years but I would imagine that it could also be taken to mean 10 weeks or 10 months. So if you take it as 10 weeks that would give you a time in the middle of December. Hex 3.2 , using another method, indicates a time around the beginning of December. This to me indicates that something good will jump at you in the first couple of weeks in December.
Hex 60 indicates the end of July 2007 which is would be about 9.75 months away. Anyway, something for you to think about in your lunch break.

Go with your gut feeling every time.

BTW, my take on 3.2 is: delay and postponement produce a good result in time.

Thank you both for your feedback - you have made me feel much better about my decision!

I'll keep my eyes open for early December and July!

Whilelm or Karcher about 3.2?
mmm... i rather prefer dobro's

The way i would phrase my undertanding is: delay accepting this offer until you would be absolute sure you want it. Meanwhile, search for the little words in the contract

best wishes
