Are there any books in print that cover records of readings from the past?

I would be interested in reading a book full of historical readings, interpretations and actual outcomes. Anything like that out there in English?

The Chinese literature and historical records are littered with readings and interpretations. A good book to start is "Records of the Grand Historian" (http://www.amazon.com/Records-Grand-Historian-Han-Dynasty/dp/0231081650/ref=sr_1_1/103-6570832-5749428?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1181068967&sr=1-1). That just a start, there are many papers by Western sinologists where they quote such readings from Chinese originals. Google can find some of those for you.
