Okay, here's the weird part (but really not so weird, because I am a believer). Similar question, but not quite...different time and place...What action do I need to take to find love?

Read somewhere on this website that sometimes it helps in understanding a hex with no changing lines that one should read the top ruling line...which would be 5, right?

Marriage? Now I'm really confused...or is it telling me what I already know...that I need to deal with the issues that got me where I was before, so that I don't repeat them?

Another strange thing...I don't mind telling you that I am still in love with the guy that I had an affair with...even though I should know better. He is "Seeker's Thomas" if you will. Only, unfortunately for me, we work in the same facility, so we run into each other frequently. We ahve somehow remained friends, but with great restraint on my part...I love him, I hate him...I am finally realizing that we are not only just friends, but actually becoming good friends under great duress. I am just learning to accept the situation, But sometimes I get mixed messages...

35.4 leads to 23. I guess it is referring to "persistence in the wrong person" or "for the wrong purpose". In a way, the Hex. is pointing at the fact that you may be focusing on the person who will play the "separation/divorce act" for you, as if you had taken a picture and next you "feel satisfied" to see it developed in front of you.

Hi Kirstan,
not necessarily. I would not say it definitely.
What comes to my mind is that you may be consciously/unconsciously repeating some patterns which lead you to the results you are expecting in some way or other.
In a way, you know why you choose to relate to this or other guy: you want to prove you are right (at the results you already know).
Hex 35 is "very sunny", sun at midday. That means it shows everything just like it is. No shadow at midday. You know exactly what the outcome will be.
Probably, you have to change motivation, not the person. Perhaps you have to clarify your motives for yourself. What are you looking for in this relationship? It is midday and sooner or later it will be evening. How will everything be when the sun sets? Are you OK with the changing atmospheres?

35.4 ...don't try to make progress like a hamster...my image of the rodent is that he is sneaky and furtive, he is not above-board, he has ulterior motives.
line 4 is the negative line in the hex for sunlight and all things above-board.

stop planning and scheming, be cheerful and satisfied with natural, easy progress.

23.4..strip it. It is a time to get clean and free, not to try to control...let go.

11.0 could mean that you are not seeing the fact that all is well, all is as it should be, heaven and earth are interacting in perfect balance right now.
It could be that guy, but he could also be a blueprint for what you want...for some reason, I see 1:1.3.5 as the natural steps up to finding the great man.

This seems to fit with the 54.5 that I have been getting alot lately, don't you think? Go with the flow, don't try to control things, etc. Am I finally starting to get this?

I certainly admire your attitude. I see a lot of willingness to look to yourself for answers, and subsequently a good deal of self-awareness.

My first impression looking at 1 to 64... I don't believe you've met "11.5" yet. And I love what Micheline said about the lines, 1,3 &amp; 5... the steps leading up to meeting him.

Thank you for the encouragement Val. It seems like I have done an awful lot of work on myself in the past year...especially with my motivations, ego, etc. The Yi has been a large part of that. It started with doing the "Feng Shui" thing in my new house...and that is where I became introduced. I still have alot to learn, but it still confuses me. Oh, but for the ability to see myself as objectively as I see others!!!!
