Has anyone ever felt "burdened" by something that Yi says?
I got Hexagram 1, changing line 5 - 2nd Hexagram is 14.
I know I don't step up to the plate sometimes, but an answer like this feels like alot of pressure - especially since it's about my work.
How do any of you evaluate the answers that require you to do something you feel too scared to do?
BTW - I have no difficulty with the ones that say I should be scared or cautious. It just occurred to me that I really like those!
Thanks,
Rosalie

maybe Rosalie, the Yi is telling you that you are winner at work and a great asset to your profession.it certainly points to a lot of energy and treasure being present.
In answer to your question, though, YES, I do feel sometimes a bit pressured by Yi, if it implies that an auspicious element or opportunity is present....the idea that I could fail to make full use of an auspicious chance/time is what pressures me. .
However I have learned that the less I worry, the more likely I am to simply and spontaneously *show up* and do what I need to do.
all in all I like the yi's glowing responses much better than the somber, cautionary ones..sometimes those keep me up at night ) :

I think it's natural for anyone who takes Yi's council seriously to experience performance pressure from time to time. Perhaps that's only because we expect a lot from ourselves? Maybe too much sometimes, but better that then not living to our full potential. Otherwise, why bother the Yi?

Maybe take a reading like that as a vote of confidence that, after all, only you and Yi know about... If you happen to not live up to your own expectations, what harm? Just chalk it up to experience and try again next time...

to me the true nature of prosperity, hex 14, is in having something to give, it's not about stepping up to the plate, it's about having a gift or an ability that one can share with others, with which one can benefit others, but you can only do what you can, when you can

Thanks everyone.
I thought #14 was about Possession in Good Measure and self-containment?
