Coming to Meet, line 4

Hello everyone,
Some years ago I had an expert do a reading for me using my name and my birthdate - he forecast the above! And it scares me ..and even though I"m working on my own spiritual and emotional growth and want to believe I can find peace and freedom, I am so STUCK on this prediction. I can identify with it strongly in terms of my past and my life remains not such an easy one emotionally.
Because I can see how this description has very much applied to me in the past, and because I really asked the oracle in all sincerity what I really needed to know about my life - I can't just slough the whole thing off as though it was just a one off divination which I can cast aside.
I really don't WANT to be bound by this unlucky script though.
Can anyone inspire me on how to let this all resolve itself inside me?
It really does matter a great deal to me - I would be so freed up if I could just drop it all.....
It scares the daylights out of me!

Hi Chloe,

First, if this reading was done years ago, and you’re still holding onto it with fear, that itself can be the 44.4 of your reading. Fear paralyzes you, keeps you bound up, and keeps your creel or tank empty of fish: all are aspects of line 4. When women fear they can not get pregnant, their fear can actually empower that self fulfilling prophesy.

Secondly, I would never interpret a reading as an inescapable future prediction, only a circumstance, a set of conditions I am or will be faced with. We are not someone’s or something’s robots. We program ourselves, each day, hour and minute.

The resulting hexagram of 44.4 is 57. One aspect of 57 has to do with your blueprint, your seal or your DNA. It is your stamp of creation, if you will. That means you have authority to be completely yourself, and not a slave to anyone or anything. There is also implied a responsibility, a work to be done, which comes with the seal and the authority you’ve been given.

Thus it seems to me this line needn't be a curse. Indeed, I see it as an encouragement to you to get involved with life. Don't let your hidden fears hold you aloof. Meet your neighbors, volunteer, Get Down!

Further, 44.4 leads to 57, indicating that when you do get involved, ask questions, shine your light in the dark corners, your secret fears dissolve and life is good.

Hi Chloe,

I think the symbol is more positive than negative. To sum up before going into detail, I think you may have struggled with life quite a bit so far, but that you attain and maintain a comfortable flow and oneness with life in your adulthood on in to your old age, and will attract / look for people very similar to yourself... and you will always have support.

Looking at the symbols, I would say they paint the following picture... that you might have had a more challenging first phase of life. The Heaven hexagram puts much pressure on the Wind hexagram, which symbolizes you. It would seem that life/events/people had a strong effect on you, and that there was more conflict than usual. However, the nuclear hexagram is Heaven doubled. This means that in your middle stage of life, you will achieve great inner strength, and also that the outside world will now bring you the friends, support and circumstances to match your growth. I think once that happens, your life gets smoother for good. Not only that, but you might find that you sacrifice some of your natural sensitivity and feeling nature, for a more rational way of dealing with people and your world. This would equally generate more inner strength. The final hexagram is Wind doubled, which is much softer, and implies that you will enjoy much support again in your later stage of life, because both trigrams are the same and suppot each other. You can probably relate for yourself what the symbolism in the trigram Wind is, and what it will mean for you, as you reflect on what you would like your life to be when you are older.

I see nothing wrong in this line, 44.4, it is just telling you to get along with all the people that you meet in life, as you never know when you may need their assistance. Just be tolerant towards others and it could prove to be lucky for you in the future. Wise advise.

Thank you dear people for your care! This is my first post - my first day - and I'm really touched by the sincerity and thoughtfulness of your replies. I can honestly say my fixation on the negative aspect of this hexagram and the line has loosened up. And while I see that it really has been,and still is, quite a strong and hard to overcome affect of my life,( i.e. the actual truth of what the hexagram is saying about me), I look at it now less as an inescapable foreboding of doom and see that there are ways of looking at things, shades of seeing things ....
The maiden has been such a blinkered drama queen !!
Ah, I know that nothing stays the same, I know that happiness is just how I react to what I get and I really feel certain in my heart of hearts that life was meant to be easy!!
