Has anybody here, other than Hilary, that I know read his blog also, has been paying any attention to Allan Lian's blog? (http://atouchofancientszhouyi.blogspot.com/)

Well, the man, who has an uncanny way to time the market using the Yi has also been connecting some possible market trends with possible natural disasters that are about to happen. He predicted the current earthquakes in Indonesia a whole week before it happened. More to come... Here is the link to that post. Impressive, to say the least.

Well, he was off the point by several thousand kilometers. He predicted (with no timeframe given) a huge earthquake with a tsunami for the South China Sea, with Korea, Japan and Southern China as possible victims.

What happened:

A series of massive earthqaukes struck soutern Sumatra in Indonesia, some 2000 km away, no tsunami occured (despite several warnings). The loss of life - thanks God - was given in two-digit numbers.

How he got all this from 3 is above me.

I'm not impressed, and I hope I will not become impressed in the future.

Respectfully,

Soshin

Well, of course, I hope he's wrong but only time will tell. Still, the premonition of an impending natural disaster in the near future and some confirmation, in my book, is still impressive. And 2000km is not a huge distance. BTW, on CNN International, just an hour ago, they said that Indonesia had just issued a tsunami warning and evacuations in Sumatra. It may amount to nothing but they usually have a reason for issuing warnings as those.

We'll see... About that and his other possible sites. Three and a half more months left in 2007... I'm not holding my breath but I find his musings interesting, intriguing and many times, right on the money (pun intended when it refers to his market timing) :D
