I am in a dilemma. I have a job (#1) that I want to leave for an other job (#2). But the new job is uncertain yet. So I asked the I Ching:

Please give me advice on what to do with job #1?
42 unchangingHave a goal to move to. Is it advising me to quit? I would really like to leave but I can't until I feel I found another secure job.

How will my situation develop with job #2?
25. 5. 21Don't take action, it will work itself out.
I wanted to contact them, but now I just wait for them to call me.

I also asked about the new job a few days ago:
Please give me advise about this new job! What do I need to know about it?
26.6. 11That sounds very promising.

How is my situation with this new job?
2. 1.3.4. 55It means don't force it?

Does it say that I am going to get this job, just be patient or there is no promise at all?

I am very nervous about this new job opportunity and I want to do everything that I can to get it. So it is very important to me that I don't blow this.

This says that things are currently going okay for you, it si an excellent time for starting a new job, and the problems that you think that you are having will be resolved. your goal, is the new job, so don't hesitate, go for it.

This line says for you to be patient, an answer will come in due course which will make you happy.

Inner Thunder and outer Wind. It would seem you've outgrown your job! The inner thunder is the prompting to move on, and the outer wind clearly shows your personal environment (what surrounds you, friends, job etc) to be stirring you up. It makes sense that you are ready to move on, so I wouldn't worry about holding on to job #1 too much longer. Like Willowfox said, just be patient and you will be led.

It seems that there may be more leadership opportunities related to this job, given that the inner trigram is Heaven. Does this make sense with what you know about the job#2?

The outer trigram is Mountain, which has always appeared in opportunities where I could really sink in and become a permanent part of the job/project, etc. This would seem to be a job that you are a good match for (job # 2), and will feel like it just 'makes sense' to have it.

You are right, I feel that I outgrow my job, so I really want to move on. The new job would be a great opportunity for me, because I would be doing what I studied for. I am not sure about any leadership opportunity with the new job, but who knows what can happen. ;)

I got a call yesterday from the new company, they want me to come in for an interview. It is tomorrow, I am so scared. I should feel happy, but instead I am scared and I am freaking out. I asked the I ching what can I do to be successful at the interview tomorrow? What can I do to get the job?28.3. 47
Well that doesn't sound encouraging to me. It might describe more the state of mind I am in right now. I feel overwhelmed with unmanageable emotions, I feel happy and I could cry at the same time. I don't know what is happening with me.
I would appreciate your help to interpret the answer. I really hope that this is not a hopeless situation!

I used the I ching on the computer, I don't know if that makes any difference. I believe it is as accurate as divination with the real coins.

Hex 28.3 Quite simple be down to earth, not showy or boastful, cooperate with them 100%, do not force yourself upon them, just be natural, relaxed and friendly.

Hex 47 the IC is saying that this is a time of oppression, well, isn't an interview or the thought of an interview oppressive. Again, this is quite simple, tomorrow you are going for an exam but you know that deep down, you have the determination and willpower to succeed. The IC goes on to say that your words will have no effect, that you will be unable to influence others, the point is, don't ramble on about this and that, just answer their questions, to the point. Now, I would strongly imagine that they are going to have to think what to do, so in the interview they most likely will not take to much notice of what you have to say, they base their decision on notes. So, just go to the interview and do your best and be cheerful, then success will visit you later.

So I had my interview and I believe it went pretty well because I got another interview with the highest person in management tomorrow. Sofar I am happy and relieved that it went smoothly. 1 more to go!!! ;)

CONGRATULATIONS!

And from those of us following your story - thanks for your follow through - it was great to hear this story to it's conclusion! It appears Hex 28.3>47 was more a reflection of your anxiety in the situation than the outcome of the situation itself. Interesting - sometimes Yi does that - rather than give us advice, it reflects back to us what we are feeling/experiencing at the time, rather than provide us the probable outcome. We then need to use our own intuition to discern the difference.
