I've stumbled on a way to get a better handle on Yi meanings sometimes. After I consider the main meaning and the changing line(s), I'll look at the lines that *aren't* changing as well. For instance, this morning I drew 10.6. So I considered what that meant in terms of careful conduct near a potentially dangerous force, and then I considered repeatedly monitoring my conduct in terms of where I've been and where I'm going. And THEN I looked at 10.5 and thought: "Well, at least I'm not dealing with a dangerous separation here." And I looked at 10.3 and thought: "Well, at least I haven't actually stepped on the tiger's tail."
Getting a better idea about what it is by looking at what it isn't. Like that.
