What Is The I Ching?

The I Ching is an ancient widsom book from the Chinese Taoist tradition. It is an oracle - a device used for divination. Divination is the art of reading the "signs" of natural events to foretell the future or gain deeper insight into the unseen spiritual forces behind a given situation.

I am a Philosophical Counselor in New Jersey. I do I Ching counseling with my clients to help them become more self-aware and solve the perplexing problems in their lives.

Other I Ching benefits include:

*Improved attitude and outlook
Eliminating "Analysis Paralysis"
*Greater self-confidence
*Reducing stress & anxiety
*Helping you make wiser business decisions
*Enhancing personal relationships

These and many other psychotherapeutic benefits result from devoted I Ching work. In short, the I Ching will help you find your inner counselor. The wisdom contained in the pages of the book holds up a mirror so that you can see into the heart of difficult situations.

I Ching: Where Eastern Philosophy Meets Western Psychology

As a student of Eastern philosophy and Western depth psychology, I have been doing intensive Buddhist and I Ching work for nearly 10 years now.

Hi Eric,

Not clear what your news is in and around your ad-spam. However, looking at things in the best light, I wonder why you note I Ching from Chinese Taoist tradition. What does that mean to you? Traditionally, there is both Taoist and Confucian commentary and roots to I Ching. Personally, I appreciate the Taoist perspective greatly, but wonder how it relates to your website. But then, when I clicked the link I found only ads, not very Taoist generally speaking.

I would be far more interested in hearing what you have to say about your Yi perspective before hearing your sales pitch. Could you engage in human conversation, please? :bows:

There is a decency rule built into the nature of things. (mess with it at one's peril--ed)
What one gives is what one gets.
What one gets is NEVER what one thinks one has gotten.
What one has actually gotten only comes out in . .THE WASH
In other words . . THE UNIVERSE RESPONDS TO WHATUOFFER !

thank you. yes, i was told by hilary that the i ching community is more advanced. However, i did not realize that at the time i made this post (it was my first post). i have since made other posts that were more academic and informational. however i will not hide the fact that i am trying to build a business in philosophical counseling.

my apologies if you felt this was spam. It was not my intention.

Hi Eric,
I have been dealing with the end of the year and such so I just saw your post tonight. Apology accepted. My actual issue was with the lack of content not any effort on your part to build a counseling business which I think is an admirable goal. In that perspective, I would rather phrase my remarks in terms of developing a counseling relationship of any kind you have to first build a relationship. Therefore your business plan would better start by showing how well you can counsel than just linking to your sales page.
Folks choose their counselors not for their being available but for their being who they want to tell them things. In fact, I have found (being myself on the Via Negativa and thus obliged to make every possible error first) just being right and having the answer folks need is hardly an attractive pitch. People need to feel they know you and want YOU to tell them insightful things. Only a few are so focused that they just want to know what is helpful or even essential to them.
Best of luck,
Frank
