 Hello there...I was fooling around with inner (or Nuclear) Hexagrams and had a question: when generating the inner hexagram from a hexagram with changing lines, do you take the changes, which are now represented in the inner hex, into account? Or is the inner hexagram meant to be read without changes, as commentary on a more basic level?

I used the changing lines on a couple of inner hexes and found interesting and relevant stuff there, but I wonder what others think. Thanks...

I learned inner structures from the start and the teacher with whom I studied always advocated using the relevant changing lines in the inner structures. I don't look at the inner structure every time I receive an answer, but only when I want more info. In the system I learned, for example, the lower nuclear structure (lines 1,2,3,3,4,5)is said to represent the 'out of which' or basis of the situation. If I am unclear about the basics of the situation I look at this structure and its attendant moving lines.
