Hello, all,
I have always been confused about the meaning of 44, and how to apply the message and insight into my life. For example, I have an uncle (by marriage, married to my aunt who is my relative) who always treats me as if I am a flake, really out there. So I asked not too long ago, what is his perception of me? And the answer was #44, no change. What might that be trying to say to me?
Thank you again.

44 is i think the most controversial hexagram in the Yi, people view it quite differenly. Some people think the 'strong woman' is a metaphor for anything beguiling and seductive that lures you off your path in life - IOW its something disruptive to be avoided. So in this view your uncle could see you as rather a dangerous influence, someone he feels can lead him or others astray, lol, :flirt: well not necessarily sexually but maybe your ideas or behaviour he finds threatening
OTOH others see the woman in 44 as a powerful influence that hasn't been exactly planned for or can't be incorporated into the usual run of things but which is actually quite a creative force for change if you allow it. So could be he just doesn't know what to make of you, maybe he never met anyone like you before and hes wary, he can't fit you into to any stereotypes he knows of etc.
Might help to look in the hexagram index at other threads on 44. People have discussed it alot Either way I imagine he feels some discomfort around you or even an attraction hes not comfortable with.
(sorry not sure of your gender)

Hello, all,
Thanks for your insights. I am a woman. My uncle is has been a corporate person, think Wall Street, and I am an actor. When I was in acting school in NYC, I would sometimes wear purple pants and high top Converse sneakers and he thought that was really strange, but that's a long time ago. He still acts like that toward me.
