Knowing love

I would be grateful for your insights here.

I asked Yi Jing for insight into my perception of love and how I live it.

I got: 17.3.6. ->changing into 13

I feel it is true, I have an inner feeling of what I need and I cannot do anything about it, I cannot change it. I need a wise, insightful man, otherwise I cannot even start to get attracted. I simply cannot. I am not interested in love games or something, I need a man who is mature, rooted, intelligent. I am not attracted to anything but this. I don't care much for the physical aspect, I need a meditative, let's call it "spiritual" (although I don't like this word, it sounds cheaphttp://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif) love. A connection in meditation and wisdom.

I feel Yi Jing was very correct about this and I feel he gave me an instruction to follow it. Well, even if it didn't, I would still follow it because I cannot do otherwise.

Then I asked will I find, realise this kind of love in my life?

I got: 15.6 ->changing into 52

Hm...is this discouraging? Not moving, being still? Or is it saying then when I will be still, it will happen? Or is it emphasising that this the kind of love I seek? Meditative, reflective, wise.

I really have this yearning to connect and share - but only on this level, I cannot be satisfied with anything less.
That's why I was so concerned when I lost this my much older friend of mine I was telling you about, asking you about...I felt this kind of connection with him, at least to a certain point. He has these qualities that I look for and loosing him was extremely painful.

I aksed Yi Jing about him, too. I used yarrow sticks. I asked: how will this relation to him evole in the near future?

I got: 1;2.3.4.5 ->changing into 27

I feel a much creative power is working here...I need to be respectful, taking care of my needs. Nourish the right thougths and attitude?

I asked today: will this connection with this man be reestablished?

I got 21.1.5 ->changing into 45

We will meet in a place dedicated to meditation which I thing explains 45, a spiritual gahtering. But could it also mean that the spiritual connection between the two of us can be established or that maybe it was not lost?

I admit, I don't know if I can ever find a similar person. It sounds desperate but I feel so. I know he is not "perfect" or something, but I don't want him to be. He is just him. And I love him and I hope we could be friends again, have a connection I need.

I know it is a long post, I hope someone will respond. I would really appreciate your insights.

As i am rather new to this please do not take my words as the definitive but as I read on your question of whether you would realise this type of love some words from hexagram 52 jumped out at me that I thought I would share:

"True quiet means keeping still when the time has come to keep still, and going forward when the time has come to go forward"

I think that you will know when (and maybe who) the right time is but until then you will not waste the profound and heartfelt emotions (which I appreciate and admire your ability to put them into words) that you describe.

Your perception of love, 17 to 13...
Hexagram 13 is about finding the way of humans. Look at the tracks they make, so you know how they are, and what they do and need. That includes also looking at your own tracks. Follow the pattern of these tracks, don't try to direct things, but give them the space and tools they need so they can happen "all by themselves".

How to realise it, 15 to 52...
Hexagram 15 has a lot to do with the other half of an equation. It is the 'modesty' to add your share to the whole, and not just asking for your own needs to be fulfilled. If you need a spiritual man, then ask yourself what he needs. Maybe he needs a woman who understands his way of thinking or feeling, a spiritual woman like he is a spiritual man. But it might just as well be, that he needs the woman who is a counterbalance to him. A woman who is 200 percent female. Or maybe one who is like an innocent joyful child.

Look to yourself, what qualities do you have. Be happy with the features you have, all of them, and develop them as best you can. For yourself - but then it might be that you will attract exactly the man you need. Because you have made yourself to the woman he needs.
Hexagram 52 is your stable core, your own solid way of being who you are.

Rosada, I don't know the book you mentioned, maybe I should order it. It sounds very interesting. Can you tell me what it says about my hexagrams and lines (17 ->13)?

Nicky_p, I think you are right and I feel the same way; I will not move when the time comes to move.

And Heylise, you gave me good advice, but I always feel less when it comes to such men, I feel I don't desrve them and that creates troubles because I get scared and anxious.

you seem discouraged by 52, i dont think you should be, about 17 years ago when i first started using the yi i asked a question along the lines of "what is it that i am looking for? what is it that will make me happy?" the response i got was 52, a short while later i asked a similar question "what is it that i am lokking for in a relationship" again the response i got was 52, at the time i did'nt understand the readings but they stayed in my mind, years later i was involved in a relationship that i explored a lot through the i ching, the dominant hexagram/theme of that relationship was 52, not only did i explore the relationship through the yi but i also explored the yi through that relationship and in terms of developing an understanding of the yi and beyond that of the nature of the spiritual aspect of life that relationship was the most beneficial experience of my life, i can't claim to knol about 52 in terms of relationships but i will tell you what i have learned
you are talking about a relativity that is predominately inner being to inner being
as you said above you will end up spending a lot more time meditating than making love
you will probably relate to each other through peace as much as if not more than love
there is a very strong element of being settled in one self to 52
you are talking about a very slow gradual development to the relationship
and of course there are limitations that have to be accepted,
you seem to be really attuned to that type of relationship, so from your point of view 52 is a really good postive sign, it's not for everyone, i know at the time i was'nt expecting it nor was i prepared for it and i never really adjusted to it unfortunately but i would still regard 15.6 to be a very healthy reading,

21.1.5 changes to hexagram 12, not 45. Does that maybe make more sense to you? Or are the changing lines wrong and the secondary hexagram correct?

thank you so much for your insight, you are very correct. You said it really good with a lot of understanding. It is exactly how I feel. The 52 type of relationship is something I need, yearn for, peace and meditation as predominant things to share.

I think you're very brave for asking the "love for life" question, I wouldn't have the guts.
I see the outcome very positively. 15.6 sound like the kind of guy you're looking for, a modest noble-craftsman-leader sort of person, 52 to me sounds like staying with him.
As to the first question about the relationship between you and the guy: 1 with all the moving lines is the turbulent time you're in or just come out of, but the resulting 27.1 sums it up. It's about independence. I've had it right after an ended relationship. To me it means to stop clinging to this person for your nourishment, instead realize that you have it all inside you available. By the way I love the image of the magic turtle, the animal that supposedly could live from air alone. I like to visualize that kind of independency.
And about this guy: with all the 21 and 12, he really doesn't sound like your 15 to 52..! Which means that somewhere right now he very well might be meditating on finding you too!
