Willowfox,
What do you mean by that - i am not well versed in the iching..
the hexagrams followed this question though:
I am going to talk to my guy tomorrow about something. It's going to be shocking definitely but I have to do it.
I asked, what will be the outcome of our 'talk'?
63 - 3,4,5 to 51
I get 51 alot..

If you have to ask an oracle if somebody is the man for you, then you can safely assume he is not the man for you. Cuz see, when you meet 'the man for you', every cell in your body will let you know immediately that he is the man for you. You won't have to ask an oracle and get help with interpretations on the internet.

Dobro, you're right..
but I asked though because him and me are not communicating - we're sort of quarelling...
I wanted to see how this one will go..

58 is about bringing forth, the pleasure of expressing what's inside you. In this case, that's like a song of love. 51 is a shock to the system, maybe big, maybe small.
My guess is that in wondering about this guy, you're startling yourself with what's coming out from inside you. It's not positive or negative particularly, it just is what it is - a kind of startling expression of what's inside you.

To me this suggests difficulties in dealing with this man, it is going to be hard work, so be on your guard and try not to get angry or upset, just keep to the basics then you should be okay.

Cool, both your answers are really helpful. Thank you!!:bows:
I did have a talk with him - that didn't resolve what I intended to ask. However, it made me feel slightly better.
I asked Iching another question: How much does he love me?
48.2.5 to 15
His intent towards me?
52. 1.6 to 36
What confuses me is, lets say i get a reading and then forget to record it. Later, i get another reading on the same question, and the hexagrams are different. Can i take the second and assume things have changed?

Sometimes.
See, there's a problem when you ask too many questions too close together in time. It's like eating shortly after you've had a meal - it's the wrong time to do it. When you get something from the Yi, you should keep it in your mind for at least a day and let it sink in. This takes a certain amount of concentration, so you should write down what you get from the Yi and then check on it later in the day. This also takes a certain amount of patience, which is difficult if it's a situation like romance, cuz as we all know, where romance is concerned, we want what we want RIGHT NOW! Right? lol But think about it: wouldn't you rather take on what the Yi is trying to tell you, which will improve your understanding and your attitude and your behavior so that you will deal with the whole situation more skillfully and improve your chances of having a successful relationship with the guy instead of blowing it cuz you moved too fast or something? So if you want to actually use the Yi to improve things, then learn how to a-b-s-o-r-b its message to you, and stop confusing yourself and the issue by asking so many questions. He'll still be there tomorrow.
