Hello! Confused! I asked about the energy between myself and another person; we haven't spoken in awhile and I'm confused about the nature of our relationship -- such as it is -- at this point. I received 44.2.4 > 53. It seems to me that the two changing lines contradict each other pretty neatly, at least in Karcher's TOTAL I CHING, but other interpretations give me totally different notions about the situation -- and then the whole thing ends up with 53.

I've gotten 44 in relation to this situation, but never with these lines...thanks for any insight...:confused:

The main hexagram says that getting close to this person is a mistake. Each of the two active lines says the same. The fact that the relating hex is 53 is the real contradiction, cuz it's the couples/relationship hex par excellence. It seems like the situation is really screwed up.

Yeah. I guess I was confused by the other two, particularly 4, because 53 seems to suggest some kind of constancy or progress. I am thinking that there are nuances of 44.2 and 4 that I'm not aware of...thanks Dobro...

Hex 44.2 It seem there is a lot of negative energy here, you seem very disappointed by him but you must try and curb these bad feelings.

Hex 44 .4 don't disregard this person because you never know when you may need his assistance in the future, be friendly even if you don't care for him much.

Hex 53 tells you to be patient and not jump the gun and cut this guy off, remain friendly but just let things unfold naturally, no force either way.
