Are these "life changing" events?

Hello all,

It's been a while since I posted anything here. In October, my mum had extensive heart surgery and in November I had surgery. Oh...by the way I started a new job in September too http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/biggrin.gifSo yes, I've been a little stressed over the past few months. On November 18th, my bowel collapsed and I went to the emergency room, I had surgery, I survived, and, I'm a little shaken up still over my life events over these months.

O, I asked the Yi the follwing questions because of the uncertainty in my life as of late, and I need some help figuring this out please?

"What caused the intersussception of my colon?"
I got Hex# 11- Tai with 9's at the 1st, 2nd, and third places? This changed into Hex# 2- Kun???

What's going on here everyone? Is Yi addressing the fact that my current job is stressful and not for me, and may have caused my health problem(my job is one of the questions I asked by the way).

But let me stay focused on my health for right now. I then asked Yi:
"Waht is the liklihood that I'll need surgery agin in the future for some sort of gastro-intestinal condition?" and got:
Hex# 29- Kan, 9 at the 5th changing into Hex# 7- Shi

Can anyone out there help me decipher what Yi is telling me please?

Dear strawdogs,
so sorry to hear about your health problems. I am thinking that the hex29, line 5 is saying the same kind of thing that your reading in the other post is...28.6..
you have a lot of stress and it feels overwhelming. 29.5 is usually a sign that your problems will not overwhelm you, but still you must take good care.

It is not a time to try to prove yourself or to take on things which require more of your energy and give you more stress. remember a job is just a job in the whole scheme of things...your health is more important. YOU are more impt than your job.

is there an employee counselor you can talk to? can your doctor help you by wrting a note and advising a leave of absence? I suspect this is a situation where you need some strong support. Don't struggle all on your own.

Don't know if this is much help, but I'm seeing your readings as advise on treating and dealing with these things. There is danger, there is more to learn about it, and there is also having inner peace about it.

One of my favorite Wilhelm commentaries is from 11.3, and I believe it's wonderful council for you now.

I understand a job is just a job and my health IS more important. It's such a funny thing. I wanted my current job sooo bad (at least I thought), I got it, and now I absolutely can't stand it. I'm so unhappy there. And my physical health is so much more important.

One of the meanings of shi, the name of hex.7, is medical specialist. So I think Yi says the danger is always there, but there are doctors who can deal with it. Or maybe the other way around, the doctors are always there - so you know what to do when something goes wrong.

11 to 2 is interesting. Hex.2 is the 'time', and the entire inner trigram of 11 is what you are dealing with now, in the context of #2. All inner yang changing to yin.
Maybe in this new job you have to adapt, to let go of your yang energies, and your body turned all of that towards your bowels?
