Boy I'm on a roll tonight!

I'm in a little-bit of a sticky situation. I may have the opportunity to work for a competitor of our companies. To kida get the "feel" for this situation and owner, I asked the Yi the following, and I would like to ask for some assistance in the answer.

"Please show me if the XXXXX opportunity is something I should explore"

Hex 31 6-6, changing into Hex 33

I don't understand the "taking a wife" in Hex 31? Am I taking the wife?

Am Ito hide during this particular time in Hex 33?

Thank you all! :bows: :bows: :bows:

Mirror saw when one line changes I pay alot of attention to it. Hex 31 may represent the attraction of this opportunity for you, your urge to unite with it, but line 6 says the influence is all in the 'jaws and tongue' meaning bluntly its all talk. Check out whats really there, don't believe a good sales pitch, whats behind all this seductive talk ? Not alot by the look of it. Hex 33 would suggest to me you'd be best to withdraw from this offer, it only sounds good. If the offer really does look good to you and you want to take it, at least check out if they can really back up any promises of benefits they make to you.

Is it worth considering that they want you for your knowledge - but might then 'chew you up and spit you out' once they've got it? Not unusual when people are recruited by their competitors.

Good luck.

Hex 31 means a powerful influence (usually it means you're undergoing a powerful influence) and 33 means withdrawing, pulling out. So, put them together and what have you got? Something like this: "You're powerfully attracted to the opportunity the other company is offering you; you should withdraw from this."

Dobro,

Is their anywhere in this reading that will tell me the "why" I should withdraw from this?

Not really. The Yi tells you which situation you're dealing with, but not why. In this case, the Yi gave you 31 as the primary hexagram. That says the issue here is one of being influenced (which confirmed what you were thinking anyway). The relating hexagram is 33, which says that the issue is one of withdrawing. Okay, so put them together. You're being influenced. Withdrawing from that influence is appropriate and skillful. But no reasons given. Either you trust the oracle or you don't. Going along with what the oracle says is only problematic when it runs counter to what you want - then you got your desires shouting and screaming and drowning out the voice of your intuition that's trying to get heard using the Yi.

This says the XXXXX opportunity is not something that you should explore or even concern yourself about.
