There's this site you might like to join. Here's the blurb from its founder:
"SixDegreesOfGiving.com (http://www.sixdegreesofgiving.com/?ref_id=396) was designed in the belief that Miracles can be created intentionally by bringing together people with wishes and those with the power to grant them in the spirit of love and service. Each month we will randomly select a subscriber, like you, from our mailing list. We grant the winner the opportunity to "Make A Wish" and then we email their wish to the entire mailing list. However, the "Wisher" cannot wish for anything for themselves! That means that as a subscriber, you could win a wish and cast it on behalf of another!
If you or someone you know can help contribute to the fulfillment of a person's wish, you are invited to contact them. If not, we ask that you simply offer a blessing that the wish be fulfilled. Help those you can. Bless those you can't. Expect miracles."
I think this is a really, really great idea. The reason it hasn't got off the ground so far is a lack of marketing and list-building efforts - the bigger the group, the more likely that wishes can be fulfilled.
