She has left again and is playing the field being single so she says
I asked the Yi first if she would contact me again
I got Hex 54.4 changing to 19

I then asked the question again some hours later to get some clarity
then i recieved
Hex 31 changing lines 2,5,6 to 34

Can anybody give me some clarity here, very confused

I find questions about 'will x or y' return are often not directly answered - but more often the Yi addresses the relationship. So i see 54.4 as possibly you are pretty much compromising yourself in this relationship. Your not in a strong position but no need to get desperate, if you allow this one to pass by in time a more suitable alliance may be found. It doesn't sound a position with much dignity right now

31 - 34 lots of moving lines, you are tempted to be impulsive and go running after things that do you not much good (31.2) You have a strong impulse here (34) but quite frankly, in my opinion at least, you'd do well to exersize some self restraint.

Hi Steve,

I'm also fairly new to this site. Since there is some confusion about your second question, I'll comment only on the first response: 54.4 > 19.
Marrying off the young maiden > approach, draw near, oversee. (traditional meanings)
While this does not answer your question directly ("would she contact me again?"), it suggests that the time of her being married off is approaching. I would read this as her marrying another person, espeically since hexagram 54 deals with how a relationship between a young woman and an older man is not likely to work out in the end.

54.4 suggests a period of waiting.
19 warns of misfortune in the 8th month.
Richard Kunst renders 19 (LIN) as ceremonial wailing or funeral mourning.
If Kunst is correct (and he may well be), then the answer seems to be you will be mourning her loss because she has been "married off" to another man. On the bright side, the reading implies that in the long run, your relationship with her would not have worked out.
