O.K,

From my prior questioning, I determined that what I really want to know is that if I take this job, will I be o.k. and will I do o.k. financially. My current job/story is for another time.

1. "if I take the GE IONICS job, show me what my financial status will be"
Hex# 43 6 at the top...changing into Hex# 1

I was understanding Quai/decision to mean that "I", myself must make that decision. But then I read the line for 6 at the top and thought..."this doesn't sound too good..." What does 6 at the top mean then? Hex# 1 as the relating hexagram is confusing to me because of the negative connatation that 6 at the top has.

So, then I felt that perhaps I didn't ask the question that was in my heart and asked:

2. "please show me if the GE IONICS job is an opportunity for me to prosper financially"
Hex# 41...no lines

This blew me away if I understand it correctly. "decrease" another word that I was NOT wanting to hear after I asked YI about my finances. When I read deeper, I discovered that "for the votary to give is also to receive, to diminish is also to increase. Such is the mandate of Sun". I'm understanding this to mean that in order for me to propser at this new job, that, it is I who must first give. Am I off course here folks?

Strawdogs:-

My take on it is that the Yi isn't responding to your quires, but to you directly.

Perhaps this is what it's saying:

Be sublime, look at the entire situation -
To do this, remove yourself, be objective, so you can see what's going on within you and without -
Strife only narrows your perception -
Remove your personal tensions -

And quit jumping around like a squirrel http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/spin.gif
(actually, that came from me)

Do you meditate? Yoga, Tai chi, etc.?

Always and with respect:-

Freddy

41 in relationship to a job would say to increase the company you work for through your own hard work. What you lose in autonomous glory you gain by being part of something bigger than yourself.

Does this mean my old job?
