A few quick thoughts.
#4 has to do with the immature approach of a novice.
4.2 and 4.6 talk about how to deal with ignorance (lack of knowledge or skill).
#2 advises receptivity.
Putting all this together: the Yi may be saying that you still have a lot to learn, and it is willing to teach you if you open yourself up to its knowledge.
