Hey there, I was seeking advice on my financial situation; I have school fees to pay and am looking for a vacation (seasonal) work, so my question to the i-ching had been:
How should I resolve my financial issues?
The reading I had was:
27.6 changing to 24
I had interpreted that the situation should resolve itself in a week, I am not sure if I had taken the reading too literally. Could anyone advise or lend their insight? It will be appreciated, thank you in advance :)

I was looking at the reading and 27.1 didnt seem make sense to anything and the reason is that i think you might mean
27.6
Is that right because that puts a totaly diffrent spin on things and would make more sense
Do you mean the top line of hex 27

It is the top line, upper top... mmm what will your interpretation be?

27.6 says there is a heavy responsibility. If you take it on, you can accomplish great things.
24 says that after a problem, the tide is turning and a positive future arrives.
To me this means:
Take on the biggest job challenge you can, to bring as much money as you can.
I don't understand where the one week thing comes from.

Line 27.6 says to take a risk and go after work that you would not normally consider doing
Hex 24 says your time for progress is coming soon, your affairs will start to look up in the coming future.

Hi Ben, thanks a lot for your interpretation, I had the one week thing from here:
http://theabysmal.wordpress.com/2006/10/25/i-ching-hexagram-24/
RETURN. Success.
Going out and coming in without error.
Friends come without blame.
To and fro goes the way.
On the seventh day comes return.
It furthers one to have somewhere to go.
I might have taken the seventh day clause too literally, it actually means the 7th stage of work..:P

Thank you willowfox... I had had an idea in mind, that is to create artworks to sell at an upcoming local fair/exhibition. Putting myself into the event whole-heartedly would be something I really love to do. But because there is no security and no promises that my creations will sell enough to earn me my school fees, I had been very hesitant about putting too much emphasis on the said event.
It was all conflicting since the more down-to-earth, responsible, logical thing to do is to apply for a modest job assisting in some office or something (I don't like this line of work but felt like I had to put myself through it to be pragmatic).
I thought of consulting the i-ching again if the 'challenge' had meant producing wares for the fair. How would you advise me to phrase the question? >.<
Once again, thank you so much!

Yeah, I think you took the seven days literally, it's a figure of speech meaning "all the steps needed for a complete cycle."
For the fair, how about
- What is the outcome of my pursuing the art fair
- Is the office job the best way for me to make money
etc.
