Hex 28 is about a situation reaching a crisis point, you have to understand what the actual problem is so then you can find a solution to ease the pressure.

Thx again
I find it hard reading unchanging hex's
Is it best to just look at the Judgement and image, any ideas on the best way when there are no changing lines

I find unchanging hexes hard to get sometimes too. People vary a great deal on how they see them. I incline to the 'this is how it is' view - that is the unchanging hex shows how something is there not being much in the way you can do influence things.
I recall someone saying the Image was important with unchanging hexes and I have found this to be the case. For 28 the image says something like (in Wilhelm) that when one has to one stands alone, even if it means renouncing the world (everyone elses way). I take it as you must do what you must do regardless of what others think, for you are at an extreme here, feeling close to the edge. When one feels close to the edge one must do what ones survival instincts tell one.
Hmm an example ; suppose you're at the end of your tether in some job and you feel you must get away, desperately, and your friends say 'no stick it out wait till something better comes' but you know in your heart you just cant take anymore then i would take 28 unchanging as saying 'you are right, you must get out even if others tell you you are crazy'. Enough is enough could be a part of the message here. Don't push yourself or the issue any more, get out from under this load before it breaks you... that kind of thing.

Somebody I met on an I Ching course and who had been studying the I Ching in China told me that all answers from the I Ching are always just an answer/picture/hexagram of that particular moment and not how things are forever or will stay as everything in the Universe is moving. He also told me that it is impossible to try to put our time frame on the I Ching as the Chinese way of "time" is completely different than ours. I think this make sense. He said that this is why you can ask the same question the day after and receive a completely different answer - things has changed.
