Hi, I would like to know what 6,1,5 to 38 confer for a relationship?
The question is, can these two people have a lasting relationship?

The changing lines seem favorable, but 6 and 38 in themselves do not look promising. But the hexagram is right that conflict is rampant.

Conflict can be overcome and so can opposition providing that both parties cooperative with each other, come to an understanding between each other, are tolerant with each other, if they also love each other then there is a good chance for a lasting relationship. But if they can do none of the above things then the relationship is going to end with a bang.

Wow, that's really succint, thanks! It does describe my relationship. I asked, how can I improve it? I got Hexagram 19. What does it mean?

Do you look at the end hexagram for how things will turn out, or is the changing lines more important?

For instance I asked for one of my friends, they have 39.3, to 8. Should it go by the 8 which means a union or 39.3 which means obstructions? The question was, is that man good for her?

Hex 19 requires that you cooperate and share in order to achieve the desired goal, so you will need strong foundations upon which to build this relationship as like everything else, it needs to grow in order that it can have a chance to blossom oneday.

Sometimes the lines alone will tell the story, and sometimes one needs to also look beyond, at the second hex, you have to see how it all fits together before you can decide.

See what 39.3 says first, it suggests that going with this man will cause problems for her so better she returns to her close circle of friends and stays away from him. So, there is your answer to this question.
