Website 2 to 51

i created a website that will soon be live. this is for the business the yi wasn't too supportive about. but i have moved forward anyway, knowing there are limitations and delays inherent. i just asked, how will the website be received? and got 2.1.4 to 51

now i'm a little unsure. when i asked the question, i intended to know how others would receive it, but it would be easy to interpret this about myself, partly because i know i can't read for the whole wide world. in itself, 2 is a great response, and i'm ok with 51 because it suggests surprise and activity and i think that's a good way for people to respond to the business. i have gotten 51 at times when there is an abrupt change in a situation, sometimes good and sometimes not what i wanted.

the lines are troublesome. 2.1 does talk of something being in it's early stages, and just transiting into something more solid. this is good. but the cold imagery is of concern to me.

for the next line, i'm unsure if i am to read 2.4 or 24.4? any advice here? or perhaps it's just a matter of opinion. i guess that's what i learned from that other thread about lines.

i'm not going to share my url, as hiliary suggested, and please understand that i need a place to let myself learn and grow that is private, and this is what learning about yi is giving me. i want to keep it like that.

please offer your views of what i might expect with this reading.

I'm new at this too, Millie, so I'm not sure how helpful any of this is. But sometimes looking at a transitional hexagram can make a little more sense of a confusing change, so that's what I'd do with your first reading.

When you first put up a website, you have to wait and see what happens: you might run into unexpected technical glitches, or you might realize you're attracting the wrong kind of interest. In any case, once you get this feedback, you can and should fix it quickly (that's how I see 2,1.)

Moving on to 24: to do that, you'll have to go back and rethink a little, make a few changes, get it right. To me, line 4 suggests that the problem you're facing probably has to do with content rather than form; you may have to refine your message to represent yourself more accurately and appropriately.

The results (51) will be startling!

None of this is inconsistent with the cheering section you got from 50.6 to 32 -- it's just that you'll have to do a little adjusting first.

Hi Millie - I actually have two interpretations.

First is "silence before the storm." The lines in hexagram 2 are the silence, hexagram 51 the storm. First nothing happens, then it does - shockingly. It may take a while before your website will attract visitors. That brings me to my second possible interpretation:

You may find that not much happens, that you get no visitors (2.1), so that you're not talking to clients (2.4). Building a website is one thing, getting people to visit it and actually buy stuff is another.

A shock (51) is what you experience as a shock. It may look small to someone on the outside, but need not to you. To some for instance, having their first client may be a shock of sorts, others are not surprised at all. Having your website put online may or may not be a shock. I actually have no idea what sorts of things you'd personally experience as one.
