Greetings,

I recently asked "What is the best way to respond to a situation?" I received Hexagram 3.6->42. Is this telling me that any response I make will fail? That doesn't seem to answer my question. I can't quite figure out the "action" aspect of this answer.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

i have no 3.6 experience at all so can't help you there and it seems to me the interpretations go from 'don't give up too easily' to 'this isn't going to work whatever you do' which are opposing messages really....so I'm looking forward to some input too :)

Just in case the comment could be useful

The best way to respond is to get rid of pesimism; the situation won't improve by itself. You need to solve the chaos; even if you may feel and think that you can't do it.

Hex 3 is not an hexagram for bold action; the time under hex 3 requieres to first understand and only after you have a plan, move into action.

In order to solve the situation, you need to get help; you can't face it now by yourself alone. You need other perspectives, so find some advisers.

The worst thing to do is just stay where you are, like crying blooded tears. You can't stay there forever. If you are suffering some kind of lost, elaborate your pain, cry whatever is necesary, but then move on forward.

Many times hex 3 arrives, no matter what is the question and the context, when one is under depression (as clinical illness). So, it is wise to make yourself the check-list, just in case. If it happens that you may be depressed, then the helper and adviser suggested by hex 3 would be a professional health adviser.

The best way to respond is with determination to get the job or whatever it is done, you got to be a soldier and keep moving forwards on this one.
