I need help in translation Japanese (or Chinese - i'm not pretty sure) into English

My friend asked me to help with translation few Japanese or Chinese (I'm not sure) words into English.

I will be very glad if somebody help me (in translation or telling if it is chinese or japanese).

The language is Japanese, although half or more of the characters were borrowed by Japan from the Chinese.
Sorry, I don't know Japanese.
