Hexagram 58, 31

So, there is this girl whom I'm very much attracted to and I think is very interesting. I asked the I-Ching what should I expect if I were to pursue a relationship with her and I came up with Hexagram 58, 31. I found the second hexagram interesting because her and I are, in fact, opposites on some level or another. She is fiercely independent while I am fairly dependent. She has a somewhat serious personality while I'm more carefree and exuberant. Now, to the casual reader this seems like a death trap! Though, from what I'm getting is that there may be some potential between us (seeing that opposites attract!). On the other hand, I still feel a bit confused and would love some insight!

Did you mean that you got 58, changing lines 1,2,3, leading to 31?
If yes, it's a very very positive reading, and just go for it!

Line 3 looks like a warning against pursuing a relationship. It mentions misfortune and the commentary indicates that the position or situation is not appropriate. Of course, it's up to you to decide. I'm sure we have all received advice from the Yi at one time or another and then made a different choice, only to discover that the oracle was right.

It was actually changing lines 4,5,and 6 if that matters much. Though, I think it's best if I just take it slow and easy. I'd rather graciously accept what life offers instead and not worry too much about the end result.

If it was lines 58.4,5,6 then the second hex will be hex 41 which then alters the meaning, giving your answer a very negative outlook.
