I remember reading somewhere that to understand a hexagram its good to look at its opposite hexagram. how can you tell what hexagram is the opposite of another? That's it for now. Thanks.

Hi Cassius,

Opposite hexagrams: just swap every line to it's opposite... Yang becomes Yin, Yin becomes Yang... That's it for me now too :-D...

Looking at the INVERSE hexagram often helps too.
Just turn the hexagram upside down. The most obvious examples are Increase and Decrease.
There are also REVERSE hexagrams, obtained from switching the two trigrams.

Looks like we covered most of the primary techniques for looking at hexagrams in their opposites...as for me, I tried looking at the hexagram in front of my bathroom mirror. It looked the same. Just kidding!

Mmm, reminded me of another personal quote of mine... ?The best master you can find is not by ging to far away countries but to stay close by and watch your mirror more often...?:-D...
