I asked the I Ching for some general advice about me having a relationship with a female. I am single now. I asked for a general reading or advice for me when I get into a relationship or what not. I got hexagram 53 with the second line a 6, thus changing it to hexagram 57. I interpret this as being patient and steady and lay a good foundation so when I get into a relationship it will be solid. Dont try to hard and go with the flow. Be adaptable.

Yeah, this is a good reading. I'd read it this way, but it's not much different from your own:

macro level: gradually advancing faithfully toward a goal of union in a way which gently penetrates the rootwork of the situation. Or, on a more mundane level of expression: committed relationship that goes deep emotionally, psychologically and sexually.

micro level (53.2): you're gradually working your way toward a firm, reliable position with a woman. This involves taking things in with contentment. The 'taking in' might mean meals, it might mean conversations, it might mean impressions - but the key is to do it contentedly. This is fortunate.
