Hexagram 2 Unchanging

This is not something i've gotten recently but is something I've been curious about. Gotten it from time to time. Just now trying to be helpful on another person's thread involving hexagram 2. It brought up a few questions in my mind of what it means.

My question is - If your in a situation where things seem to be not going anywhere. The other person is not responding. Not being receptive but seeming to shut down. You ask about the situation with that person and you get Hexagram 2.

What would you say that situation means?

I've always taken it to mean - Things are as they seem. This lack of involvement is something you have to accept.

I think you mean my thread about 2. lol.

I have always thought (2) to mean.."you do not have control of this situation, instead you'll need to be receptive to the other person and allow him/her shape the situation" So it could turn out either way. You may or may not get back together depending on where the other person takes it, but whatever it is, you'll have to accept it and will have no power in it.

32 is what I never understand in this type of situation. If you are broken up and receive 32 unchanging..does that mean "you have to accept the breakup and persevere through it?" or does it mean "you will reunite because there is an enduring bond?"

these are my thoughts, unclear if I am right.

Yea hexagram 2 unchanging - Seems a pretty bad hexagram to get if things have not been too progressive.

Is that what you think too? ;)

It seems to be saying thus: Accept - non acceptance.

Or accept rejection. Something I've always had a problem with.
