Ok..My question was; "Should I move to North Carolina in Sept for sexual Qigong training/ certification". The I-ching gave me 50 moving lines on the 1st and 4th going into 26.

Now the general situation is; I'm 18, broke, but I want to pursue this as a path. My current teacher said she'll respect my decision but doesn't agree with it, saying I can't understand the I Ching till I'm @ least 40, asking "do you know how to count?". So reality is if I do follow this path, I'll be living on my own etc. when I move.

Sidenote; I did numerous readings generally around the same question; and they all said the same thing basically; just differently.

Like someone's outside view though since I'm not very good with the I-Ching and this is a major decision.

I suppose that if you can get your act together, then no problem about going, it would be good for you to have a complete change but in all likelihood you will ultimately fail to go. So, give it a try but when you can't get on the bus, don't be surprised.

Could you explain the failing to go? Is just by my current situation or does the hexagrams say something about it?

Hi Zacl,
I think it's interesting how both the original and resulting hexagrams allude to the cooking process, the slow brewing of potential. As for the potential to fail to follow through that willowfox talks about, line 4 in hexagram 50 shows an image of overturning the pot and spilling the contents due to unpreparedness or lack of sufficient devotion to the task at hand. I'd ask yourself if you're really prepared to take this on, are really committed to it, because if you're not, you're not going to be able to properly contain all of that potential and it will go wasted. On the other hand, line 1 of 50 talks about humble people with capabilities being recognized. I see this as a bit of a cosmic toss-up. Before making a decision, assess if you're really up to the task, and can really devote your energies to this in a way that will lead to success. If not, don't go ahead with it.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind..now I did 8 readings including this one prior to the post, would it help to put them here?

Mind you, I talked to someone who does the I-ching and he said I should never do more 3 readings @ most for similar questions, because it'll just make it more complex than it is. : /

Thanks in advance to all the replies so far! :)

I am glad that you now understand why I very much doubt that you will go.

Usually one question is quite sufficient but if you fail to understand its answer then asking again and again will certainly not help to clarify.
