Is it really that good?

I had difficulties with my much older friend and I was asking Yi Jing about him a lot already.

The communication with him broke and my heart is still not healed...and I feel the need to restore the loving flow somehow.

He did help me a lot on my way and I would like to share my first results with him.
I asked this question before and Yi Jing said: NO.

But the urge is still there, so now, after some time, I asked again.
I asked Yi Jing:should I write to him about my new ventures? How would that influence our communication?

I got 34.4->11
This looks good...like the way would open and I would get some peace.

Then I asked again: what kind of developement can I expect if I write to him?

I got 45.4->8
This also looks very good, like there could be some bonding.

But I am still afraid...is there something I am missing? Can you take a look at this? Is it really good, as it looks like?

And why a different answer now? Much more promising that the last time? Maybe the ways of communication are more open now, maybe he is more open now?

I hope you don't mind that I'm being blunt here.

I can sympathize with your situation with this friend. However, I wonder if you base your actions too much on the Yi. What do you have to lose if you can follow your gut instincts and share your progress with this friend of yours?

I am hurt because things are as they are, but on the other hand, I am afraid to get even more hurt if I share this and he ignores it.

So, I hoped Yi could provide an insight into this.

Maybe the friend is so closed that he will not even respond...and that would really hurt me.

And I am also not sure...because maybe I am being too naive and I should just stay away from him.
He has been very harsh with me. I am afraid I am just stupid to even try to communicate again but it hurts me because it is like this.

So you're afraid of being hurt. And you're afraid that the act of communicating is stupid. I understand.

We all go through life getting hurt at some point. Hurt is not avoidable.

To me, 45.4 is at least indicative of your desire to be communicative and close with this friend. There is nothing wrong with that.

34.4 also seems to reflect a state of being free of some barrier, whatever that is.

Neither of those images says of, using your words, staying away from him.

If you choose to contact him, at the very least, you've done what you want to do, i.e., to be communicative and close (45.4) instead of "staying away" (barrier image in 34.4), and as a result, giving you some peace of mind (11).

I feel at peace now...that the communication is not blocked completely.
