Hello all,

After prompts from friends, and advice from Yi, I've decided to change the posting rules, just a tad. So at least for now...

only Friends can post to 'Divination discussion'
You can post your reading request anonymously in the Friends' Area
[/list]
The idea is that you can still stay anonymous if you have some particularly personal reading you want to ask about. (Ie the anonymity in the Friends' Area is not meant for people replying to reading requests.)

I hope that everyone who's started posting regularly without signing up will take this as a warm and pressing invitation to join! And my apologies if this causes a hiatus in your current conversation. Please sign up under the name you're using - there's no need either to give your real name, or to display your email address on your profile.

Your email address is needed to send you your password (and message notifications if you want them) - never for anything else. As someone who deletes a few 100 spam messages every day, I have no interest in adding to the load.

Hope this will work out well... Let me know what you think...

Sounds like a good plan to me, but I still hope anonymice will tack on a number, initial, or word signiture to the bottom of the message to preclude our confusing them with some other mouse in the same or different thread.

Hi Hilary,

That's a welcome change. I also second Joang's idea. I just bought the Pro version of Discus (the software you use for this board) and although I am learning it I noticed that you can program the pages to show IP addresses at the bottom of individual posts, so even if the posts are anonymous and will remain so, there is a way to show some personal continuity in the messages.

Just an idea.

Cheers,

Luis

Great!
Usually I don't answer to anonymouses because they get me mixed up. I never know who is who.
I don't need to know anything personal, just a difference between one anonymous and another.
