Li Daochun was an alchemist from the 13th century who wrote several books, also about the Yi. The book you are looking for is probably the "Zhong He Ji", translated by Thomas Cleary as 'The Book of Balance and Harmony".
This image gives you the characters of "Li Daochun" and "Zhong He Ji":

And thanks for clarifying what is the title and what is the author http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/clipart/happy.gif I have always found it hard to get a definitive answer
All the best,

NEVER ask such a question, you risk that I will come up with something.....let's see.....paint your hair blue, dress yourself in a pink shirt and green trousers, walk to the nearest corner of the street where you live, and start singing and dancing the Ketchup Song.
Oh, and don't forget to let someone take a picture and post it on this forum.
That will do.

Do you have Cleary's translation of the Zhong He Ji?

I do have a brazillian translation of it, I suspect picking from cleary translation (Im not sure, the print info doesnt clarify as it mentions the original "school of complete reality" which is not the "book of balance and harmony")
I was trying to find the source chinese text, but after googling the characters you provided, I found lots of references but apparently nothing I could identify as the text. Its all too chinese to me, I admit, or maybe it isnt online.
