a king's son grasps
and takes women
and shows them..
they feel
but have not seen
the king watches stroking his beard
wondering upon this child he'd reared
he knows he'll learn
play with fire and you'll burn
don't go cold son
remember your place
you have not outgrown
this human race
be open and kind
remember your place
use a little grace
don't lose face

Candid...
Did you write this? Is this about your son? If I remember correctly, didn't you mention a son in another thread? Or was that someone else? Sorry...my grey matter is getting brittle...*grin*

Val,
Yes.. just word doodles. I do have two sons I've raised, three if I count one given up for adoption whom I've become close with. No, its not about them but about me. Or anyone, really. I am the king, the son and the mystery (woman). I am the seeker and the sought. And its important to remember who I am and what I'm not.
My gray matter increases every day. We are talking about hair, no? *smirk*

Cool. I just got your response, and I thought what a lovely idea this open space is, so people like you can post treats like this once in awhile.
Thank you Hilary!
Thank you Candid!

Candid,
I like your song... your "word doodles".
They made me think a lot, about 44, the powerful maiden, the yin amoung the yang, the meaning and my role in this life.
Still sorting it out, but coming closer : )
Thanks for sharing and inspiring,
Deb

Beautiful, to keep with me for a long time, humming around in my head.
Thanks
