I listened recently to an interesting discussion about God. I do not have a strong position on the idea, but since it fits this discussion somewhat I thought I would express what I heard.

We have trouble understanding how God, who is everything, who is love, can allow chaos and evil and yet remain love. Our personality (soul) which is and forever will be a part of God, manages to live in the chaos of earthly life, and yet still be pure. We, as humans manage to live in a chaotic society and still manage our equilibrium (to an amazing extent). So it is not difficult to imagine God, living in an ever changing universe, and still remaining whole.

How can God watch the evil that men do, and not be moved to take action? If we relate how God sees us to how we might see a three year old child we can understand. We do not blame the child for reacting in this or that way. We try to guide the child to better behavioor. We think not of the child as evil, but as a child. We do not like it if the child hits, or screams or such, but we do take allowance that this is childish action.

If we assume that all life on earth is just the beginning (a big assumption I know), then there is a definite perspective in these thoughts. The long view for want of a better description.
